The Delete function removes selected UDF files both from the local storage device as well as from the local database. It can be activated in two ways. It can ride atop the dBAsk Query action or it can be invoked in conjunction with the Time Option.
Begin by performing query of the UDF files from which the delete will occur. Once the list of files has been displayed highlight the files to be deleted by clicking on their entries. Clicking on a highlighted file causes that file to be unselected.
Now set a time range over which the delete is to be performed. The time is entered as the beginning and ending: year, day, hour, minute, and second in the fields directly above the display area. If no time range is specified then the time is set to cover all times. Not all fields need to be specified. Entering only a beginning YEAR will delete data which have times greater than or equal to that year. Selecting only an ending time will delete data which have times less than or equal to that year. Selecting both a beginning an ending YEAR will delete data which have times which fall between the two years (including the selected years). The more fields which are specified in the time the more restrictive the time filtering becomes. To reset the time fields clicking on the RESET button to the right of the fields. be up to the last time selected.
Which UDF files types are included in the delete are specified using the VIDF and DATA buttons to the right of the display area. PIDF files which do not have an associated time, cannot be deleted through the time option.
Once all specifications have been made, click on the DELETE ENTRY button. This deletes all the files within the specified time range.
